If hearing aids are recommended, we take time to discuss your lifestyle, listening goals, and technology preferences. We also perform additional testing, including comfortable and uncomfortable listening levels and speech-in-noise testing, to ensure accurate programming and optimal hearing aid performance. Vestibular Evaluations

Dizziness is a complex symptom that can result from dysfunction in several systems, including the inner ear (vestibular system), visual pathways, central nervous system, somatosensory system (which provides feedback from muscles and joints), and gait or postural control mechanisms. 

Tinnitus Management

Tinnitus is often a symptom of an underlying condition affecting the ear or auditory system. If you experience ringing or buzzing in your ears, we provide evidence-based tinnitus assessments and personalized management strategies. Videonystagmography (VNG)

Is a non-invasive test used to evaluate dizziness, balance concerns, and inner ear function. During the test, you’ll wear lightweight goggles that track your eye movements while you follow moving targets, change head or body positions, and experience gentle temperature changes in the ears. These eye movement responses help us understand how well your balance system is working. ​

What to Expect:

• The test is safe and typically takes about 60–90 minutes.

• You may feel brief dizziness during some portions, which is normal and expected.

• You can communicate with the audiologist at any time.

• Most patients are able to return to normal activities shortly after the appointment.

Electrocochleography (ECochG)

Is a non-invasive test used to measure how the inner ear and auditory nerve respond to sound. This test is especially helpful when evaluating conditions such as Ménière’s disease, endolymphatic hydrops, or unexplained dizziness and pressure in the ear.

What to Expect:

• A small electrode is placed in the ear canal.

• You will hear a series of clicking or tone sounds.

• The test is comfortable and usually takes about 30 minutes.

• There is no dizziness involved and most patients find it easy to tolerate.
